Temptations Direct and Raffle.it Raise Money for Spinal Research
Temptations Direct, a popular online purveyor of adult goods, is joining forces with raffle provider, Raffle.it (http://temptationsdirect.raffle.it) to raise money for spinal research. Thanks to the collaboration between these two partners, a lucky entrant will scoop a cash voucher, while others will receive fun and frolicsome goods from the current Temptations Direct range.
The raffle is a nail-biting game of skill, not just chance. The contestant pays a small sum to enter, depending on the value of the prize they desire, and then they select their own raffle number by applying their best judgement. In a process similar to a reverse bid auction, the contestant who has chosen the lowest unique raffle number wins the prize. Raffle.it hosts the raffle, takes the payments and distributes the funds to Spinal Research.
In the charity raffle, the prizes up for grabs include a £150 gift voucher, toys, fun starter sets and lingerie for that exciting night inside. Furthermore, every entrant will receive something for supporting the raffle, in the form of a percentage off their next purchase from Temptations Direct. Effectively, people will be giving to charity without being out of pocket as a result.
Stephen Hackett, founder of Temptations Direct, says: The idea for the raffle came about because my mother passed away from an illness brought on by a severe spinal injury, which became a cause very close to my heart. We expect our charity raffle to be an on-going commitment to help raise awareness of spinal injuries, which can be caused by anything from accidents and falls to sports and lifting heavy items. As raffles go, the adult-orientated prizes make it unusual and quirky, but it is also for a serious and deserving cause.
