Summer Holiday Sexual Frustration Fixes

When you have children it's hard enough trying to remember that you're a sexual being, as time is generally taken up working, washing, cleaning and caring leaving little energy for yourself. This is all too evident in the summer holidays as no longer can you fit in an odd day off where you both indulge in each other, or a quick fix lunch without oodles of interruptions.

It's easy to get caught up in finding entertainment for the children rather than finding time for yourself, but if you do indulge in a little release a few times a week, you'll discover that you're much more capable of handling the stresses of everyday life.

The lighter nights also mean that children take longer to nod off, and by the time they are asleep you're ready for bed yourself and not for sex. Some people also find it difficult to become aroused when there's the constant threat of being interrupted, or the danger of being overheard, so unless you've got a reliable babysitter what do you do?

Make the Most of Mornings
Whether you have a baby, toddler or school age children, and sunrise can be your golden time. Set your alarm as they sleep soundly and indulge in that long overdue orgasm. You may find this counterproductive as you'll be losing out on a little sleep however once you have a good routine, you'll enjoy curling up for an earlier night to catch up. You'll also feel better as you slip under the covers on an evening; as if we're honest, many of us spend the day worrying about how we'll find the time or energy to fit sex around our schedule. Once it's out the way (this is not to say it's a chore, more like an essential part of life), you'll spend the whole day knowing that when it's your time to relax nothing more is expected of you than sharing a bottle of wine or cuddling in front of the TV.

Get Involved
Many of us feel isolated in our communities due to our own insecurities. We rarely make an effort to make new friends as we find fitting in the ones we already have is a battle. However, y embracing the local area you can not only find friends for you but friends for the children too. This will allow them to have play dates where one day you can have the friends over, swapping the following week. It's the perfect way to find time for you without breaking the bank. Many communities also run kids clubs for a few hours a day where you can drop off the children for fun and then have some of your own!

Don't Go Out
A lot of parents only hire a babysitter when they are attending a social event or going out to dinner, however, why not save a little cash and have a great night in instead? Hire the babysitter, drop the children at theirs and enjoy all the luxuries you have at your fingertips for a glorious night in. You can cook for each other or hire a takeaway, indulge in a bath before a massage and sex and then curl up in front of a movie without worrying about the baby monitor! Resist the urge completely to clean, iron or tidy the kids bedrooms no matter how strong the temptation whilst you have child free time!
